Mahjong is a four-player game with ancient Chinese origins.
Similar to the card game of rummy, it involves picking up and discarding tiles with the aim of gathering sets of the same suit (a pung, kong or pairs) or numbers in a certain order (a run or chow).
A basic mahjong set contains a set of 4 playing boards, 144 tiles decorated with winds, dragons, and numbers of 1-9 in bamboos, characters and circles.
Sets are supplied by the club.
